Rice University Police Department
RUPD is a Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Accredited police department. This accreditation improves the delivery of public safety services, primarily by maintaining a body of standards developed by practitioners in the field that cover a wide range of up-to-date safety initiatives.

The Rice University Police Department produces a daily crime log that is available to the public, as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This log provides a report of criminal incidents occurring on campus for the safety and security of our community.
